Conference
The iNet Conference
What is it?
The iNet conference is about being family together. An annual residential gathering for cross-cultural workers, the conference is a central part of the member care support that we offer. It provides an opportunity for workers to receive spiritual refreshment, up to date training, and a chance to share with colleagues and friends who are also living overseas. We realise that for many, regular fellowship and public worship are often a rarity, so we give a lot of space for this during the week. We invite speakers and guests who have experienced cross-cultural living themselves and there is always an individual opportunity for cross-cultural workers to share about their past year and to receive ministry.
Who is it for?
iNet encourages all its cross-cultural workers to attend, although we understand that this may only be possible every other year. This is a family event, and we run programmes for youth, children and under 5’s. Children and young people are encouraged to share their experiences and often build long lasting international friendships through this community. The conference can also be an inspirational time for those considering a call to work overseas. We are also joined by church leaders for the Church Leader’s Day, where time is set aside for them to spend time with their own workers reflecting on the challenges of life overseas. Day visitors who are connected with overseas workers or who are interested in partnering with iNet are also welcome.
Where and When?
Our usual venue is All Nations College near Ware, Hertfordshire. The college provides a peaceful countryside setting but is also only 40 minutes from Liverpool Street Station in London. The conference runs Monday – Friday usually during the third week of July.
If you are interested in joining us at the next iNet Conference, please do get in touch to discuss this (email us on admin@inet-trust.org), we’d love to hear from you.
