Gap Year With iNet

Are you aged between 18-25, considering a gap-year or needing an overseas placement and want to experience cross-cultural missions? Then you have come to the right page. You might have a particular people group or country in mind, or perhaps you are open to go anywhere. Regardless, the iNet team would love to support you and help explore the calling God has given you. iNet will help you to partner with your local church, support you through our network in the UK and connect you with our friends around the world. We are also happy to help you get in touch with other mission agencies that may offer what you need. Through providing the best preparation and connections, iNet can help you tailor a gap-year experience that can give you the opportunity to experience first-hand what it means to work for God’s kingdom, both cross-culturally and in the UK. As a young adult from an iNet member church, you can apply for a small bursary towards the cost of your mission trip. You are eligible if you are heading overseas for 3 weeks or longer. You need to be traveling independently or be part of a small team.

For support from iNet we would expect the following:

initial meeting with iNet team to discuss your plans (informal coffee & a chat)
second meeting with iNet team to go through cross-cultural considerations
adding us to your prayer/news updates
short written report of time away
post trip de-brief (6-8 weeks after you get back)
attend an iNet event to share your story and promote the iNet bursary such as at our curry evening (February), EXPO (July), or at an iNet member church service (one Sunday).
