SUMMER '22 - 24th July to 31st

SUMMER '22 comes from God's dream of seeing young people in school years from 9-13 and those aged between 18-24 growing as Jesus' followers and sharing his love in London.
Facilitated by iNet and REACH London churches, this is an exciting opportunity for young people to spend a week serving in London churches in a diverse mix of projects (whether you are from London or not!). There will be community life, worship and teaching, and practical projects to get involved in. If you are older than 24 but would still be keen to get involved please do get in touch with us via summerteams@inet-trust.org.

In 2018, iNet created SUMMER '18 that enabled lots of young people to experience missions overseas. Last year due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we weren't able to travel abroad but this gave us an amazing opportunity to serve here in London and that's why iNet and REACH London got together last year to create this great project. We had such an awesome time last year and we want to continue this in 2022! You can find more information about iNet and REACH London detailed below.

Restore Community Church, New River Baptist Church and The Well Community Church will be hosting the SUMMER '22 teams across the city and participants can choose where they would like to serve. They will support various missional activities in the summer including children's activities, youth activities and creative evangelism in the week from 24th July to 31st
July. During the week, they will also spend time together as a team and on Friday, 29th July in the afternoon they'll meet up to worship, feedback and encourage each other.

On 3rd April, 8th May and 12th June we will host training days with lunch where they can connect with other young people, learn more about mission and the specific projects.

Young people can choose between three missional projects each in a different location. They can choose their top two options and we will allocate them to the teams accordingly. We recommend you watch the video, share it with your young people and this document with parents. Here is also a brief written summary of the projects:Restore Community Church (Enfield or Loughton) will be running a holiday club for primary school children, a youth outreach event with football, games and a movie, serve afternoon tea to the elderly and enjoy times of worship, testimony and teaching. This would be a residential project with young people staying in church members houses. Find more info about the church on www.restorecc.org.uk.New River Baptist Church (Islington) will be running a kids club for primary school children in which usually they get 50-60 children each day. The children are all divided into four teams and will enjoy fun, competitive games, workshops and a time where we share about Jesus. This is a great opportunity to try out working with primary school children! The team will have a chance to work alongside people in the church and another mission team from America. Outside of that, you will have team times, food, training and time to just hang out with with the team. This would be residential project where young people stay at the church throughout the week. Find more info about the church on www.newriverbaptist.net.The Well Community Church (Camberwell) will be running an outdoor holiday club in the local area including art workshops, basketball, football and roller skating all for local young people. We will also be using spiritual gifts on the streets such as prophesy and healing. The week will end with a community BBQ Get Together. This would be a residential project with young people staying in church members houses. Find more info about the church on www.thewellcc.org.uk/.
